Mrs. Aparajita Singh is a resident of Navi Mumbai. She first visited Advanced Eye Hospital and Institute near Vashi, Navi Mumbai on 15th January 2014 for a routine eye check-up. She had a history of having recurrent corneal erosions i.e. scratches on the clear surface of the eye. She had been diagnosed as having Keratoconus, a condition in which there is thinning and bulging of the outer clear surface of the eye, called the cornea. She had undergone treatment for Keratoconus and had come for a routine eye evaluation. Dr. Vandana Jain, Cornea Specialist at Advanced Eye Hospital near Vashi examined Mrs. Aparajita and advised her on the treatment for her Keratoconus.
Later, on 18th January 2014 Mrs. Singh brought her son Shauryaveer Singh, then a 1-year old, chubby kid to Advanced Eye Hospital in Navi Mumbai. Shauryaveer had been rubbing his eyes constantly. Mrs. Aparajita had also noticed that Shauryaveer's eyes were watering a lot for 2 months.
Shauryaveer was examined by the Paediatric Ophthalmologist at Advanced Eye Hospital and Institute, Dr. Prachi Agashe. Dr. Agashe diagnosed Shauryaveer as having developed Allergic Eye Disease. Dr. Prachi Agashe advised a treatment of anti - allergic eye drops after which Shauryaveer felt much better.
